Hi, I’m Lara — the maker behind Zeyah Ceramics. Based in Amsterdam, I discovered pottery while searching for a way to express myself creatively. From the moment I first touched clay, something clicked and it hasn’t let go since.
In the years that followed, even while working abroad, I kept returning to the wheel and the quiet rhythm of making. Temporary studios, inspiring workshops, and late-night sessions kept the spark alive. Now, in my own studio in Amsterdam, I’ve found a space to root, explore, and let ideas unfold.
Zeyah Ceramics was born from a desire to connect — with myself, with others, and with the ever-shifting inner landscapes we all carry. Clay became a mirror for my own process: sometimes soft and flowing, other times cracked open or raw. My work is shaped by themes of self-inquiry, femininity, and quiet transformation. An ongoing dialogue between what’s felt, and what takes form.
Every piece, whether a cup, a sculpture, or something in between — is made in small batches, with intention and care. I let each object unfold naturally, embracing imperfection as part of the story. It’s not about control, but about listening. About being with what is.
